The little children travel long distances looking for clean water. Children find it hard to get clean water as most of the water sources contain very muddy water which is not good for their health. Sometimes these innocent children encounter a problem of water shortage consequent upon they fetch water from seasonal sources like man made wells.
So we as Caring Hearts Charity organization, saw this as a major challenge and we are trying to help them through establishing a steady and permanent water supply closer to their homesteads.
Jesus used the metaphor of water on more than a regular basis in His ministry on this earth. In John 4: 13-14 Jesus said to the woman “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” Jesus was speaking of a eternal gift that He would give to satisfy the soul which was the gift of life in Him. When we accept this gift, it is out of the heart that we desire to be blessed by Him just as we look for approval in other people, we will always thirst for more, but when we live for a audience of one, our desire for acceptance and love is quenched.
The children of Uganda live in circumstances that we can not even imagine in America, yet they find joy in the little things. Mark 9:37 says "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."
The mission here is great, have you been called to help?
