One of the major struggles we deal with in Uganda is people's health. Over the last 2 years the world has seen the impact of sickness on a global scale and what it has done to economies, families, and other loved ones with very little to no hope. The type of sickness we deal with besides COVID in Uganda is typhoid, malaria, cough & flu, skin infections, HIV, and so much more. Yet we find joy in the little things.
In 2 Corinthians 6:10 it says..."sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything." When we as people have so little, we are able to find joy in the smallest things, but when we have so much in our lives, we don't always find joy in those small things. The core is in our desire. Do we desire to serve others with what we have? Do we desire to set the standard for our family in the act of giving? Do we desire to show God's love for the people on this earth? Matthew 25:40 says: "The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Our desire here at Caring Hearts is not to get your money, but to be the hands and feet of Jesus providing resources to a hurting people one community at a time. Our desire is to invest in our community as well as in Uganda. Our desire is to see the love of God fill the hearts of the people we come in contact with.
So this leaves one question. What is your desire?
